What Our Airpark does
Everything below is built today. You choose which parts your airpark switches on.
Public site
- Home page with airfield information
- Identifier, CTAF, weather frequency and link, flight service, runways and traffic pattern, with an introduction you write.
- NOTAMs
- Effective and expiry times in the airpark’s own time zone. Active ones show in a banner on the home page and drop off by themselves.
- Pages
- Operating procedures, rules and how-tos, written in plain text with light formatting.
- Documents
- Folders that are public, residents-only or board-only. Upload many files at once; every download is access-checked.
- Events and meetings
- A calendar with agendas and minutes attached, and a feed residents can subscribe to.
- Contact and for-sale pages
- A form that reaches the board, and listings for homes and lots with photos and a map.
- Request to fly in
- Optional. Visiting pilots ask permission; the board approves by email and the resident being visited is told.
Residents
- Sign-in without passwords
- A link or a six-digit code by email. Accounts exist only by invitation from the board.
- Directory
- Households, lots, contacts and aircraft. Each household controls which of its details neighbors can see.
- Announcements
- Email to every household from the roster, with an archive on the site and unsubscribe for non-essential messages.
- Dues account
- Each owner sees the charges, payments and balance for their own lots.
- Requests
- Architectural approval and records requests, with status, messages and files in one thread.
- Voting and proxies
- One ballot per lot, cast by the owning household or its proxy holder. Results only after the board closes the vote.
The board
- Roster import
- Upload a spreadsheet, match the columns, preview, import. Re-importing updates households; it never duplicates or erases.
- Dues ledger
- Charge every lot or one lot, record payments, void mistakes, and export for your treasurer’s software.
- Violations
- Notice, hearing, outcome and fines by lot, with fines posted to the lot’s dues.
- Votes
- Questions, opening and closing times, quorum, optional secret ballot, and a record of who voted kept apart from what was chosen.
- Sign-ins
- Invite people right from the directory, set who is a resident, board member or admin, and remove access.
- Help built in
- A help page written for each kind of account, showing only the features your airpark uses.
Behind the scenes
- Your own address
- Every airpark gets an address of its own, and your existing domain can be pointed at it.
- Your data kept apart
- Each airpark’s data is isolated in the database itself, not only in the application.
- Backups
- Daily database backups by the hosting provider and a second nightly copy held separately.
- Set up before you go live
- A new site is private to people with an account until you say it is ready.
Our Airpark keeps the records and does the sending. Notice periods, quorum, hearing rights and similar rules come from your governing documents and state law, and following them remains the board's responsibility.
